I Hate You, I Love You
Poetry about struggling to unlove someone
By Isabella RenteriaPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read
It all happened so fast before my eyes
My mind couldn’t process it all
You’re gone and I’m still here
I remember the feeling of numbness
It lasted for a few days
Until it wore out and then it hit me
I cried and cried a lot
My heart ached so much
Even now, I still feel that way
I’m lost without you
But you never cared
I’m running through the forest
Passing by so many trees
Not caring if my legs would tire out
I gazed at the ocean below me
Standing on a high cliff above
I collapsed to my knees
And I screamed out so loud
Until my lungs gave out
I shouted to the sea
How much I hate you
And how I still love you.
