I had too much to think last night

I regretfully inform,

We talked at length of this and that

I awake today forlorn.

I had too much to think last night,

And my mind was led astray.

It wandered ‘cross the globe and back

With my worries here to stay.

Yes I had too much to think last night

I was cruelly overserved.

A trap of my mouths own making

My subconscious, unnerved.

Oh I had to much to think last night

And now my heart does sink!

It twists with politics and life and love

For I’ve had too much to think.
