I FEEL LIKE A FLOWING RIVER

Even though I desired to be like lake.

I FEEL LIKE A FLOWING RIVER

Am drawn towards pool, lake, and slow moving river,

Their silence, stillness, calmness and quietness always captivate me,

They are attractive and luring,

Colorful lilies on the lake are breathtaking,

They are beautiful and safe home for their inhabitants,

They cause no troubles.

No matter much I desired and I prayed to become like them,

I am like a fast following river with current,

Cold and fresh,

Moving with sound day and night,

Passing through places and cultures.

When I flood, I move stones and remove obstacles along my way,

Clearing the river banks,

And also cause damages.

What can I do to solve the quest of who I am and who I desired to be?

I realized I can not change my identity, yet I have freedom to become whom I desired to be.

My longing lead to this revelation!

Is knowing the art of when to become like a river and when to become like a lake and a pool!

I really like how you compare yourself to different bodies of water. It's a unique way to think about identity. I can relate to feeling like I'm constantly in motion, like a river. But sometimes, I wish I could be more like a lake, calm and still. How do you think you can find that balance between being dynamic and being at peace? And what specific situations make you feel more like one or the other?

Yes. Transition in to all of them at the right moments. At least the fast river cleans itself, a must needed feature. And the calmness of the lake is needed too. Also the fun the pool brings (added that fun part).

  • Fast flowing river is much better I think 😊 This is lovely.
