The clock ticks and I'm washing up,

6 o'clock strikes,

I'm cleaning the floor,

7 o'clock,

The laundry won't wait,

8 o'clock,

The bedroom is in a state,

9 o'clock,

I must write,

10 o'clock,

My home is a fright,

12 midday,

Someone's at the door,

1 o'clock,

Is it that time already?

2 o'clock,

I have to go shopping

3 o'clock,

My writing's still missing,

And by 4 o'clock,

I realize that I don't have time,

To write all of these words in my mind,

What a waste this day has been!

A lesson learnt;

Tomorrow is another day,

And,

I don't have time to waste my life away.
