I am hard yet emotional,
Summoned often in sorrow’s call.
But I appear in moments of bliss,
A paradox, a tender kiss.
I hold meanings vast and deep,
For birth’s joy or loss’s weep.
I come unbidden, raw and true,
In pain, in love, in all you do.
Rarely a defect, I remain,
Neutral to joy or to pain.
Wise ones see me as I am,
A mirror of the human span.
Blame not me for deeds or strife,
I am tears, the essence of life.
