I Can't

Poem

By Canuck Scriber Lisa LachapellePublished 6 months ago 1 min read

Spaghetti westerns turning back in time

Golgotha opening for the last time

Dead cheerleaders not my kind looking for an abandoned house to burn

Waiting for the violet light

Calling cards all over the place

Too bad you mentioned once something about quick fire dimes

I can't do that

I love this song so much I could fk it

New wave touching my window isn't that nice

It's a long bus ride

I'd just like something to remember you by

I'm going to play this one over and over again until you get off

Take it home with you

There's a field filled with yellow flowers and there's old Beth Kutz dancing in the sunlight and a dirty truck at the side of the road and tears don't fly. The finish is never over, there's always an answer

Take it home with you

Without a chorus there I stand before a cheerful, roaring multitude and I can
