I Believe In My Music
My heart beats loud,
A rhythm of its own,
Calling me forward
When everything else stalls.
I close my eyes,
Letting the sound rise,
A warm rush in my chest,
A doorway to truth.
I believe in my music,
The way it saves me,
The way it lifts me
When I fall too deep.
Each note feels alive,
A colour I can hold,
A memory shaped
Into living breath.
I play through grief,
Through fear and doubt,
Until the room glows
With something real.
My soul leans in,
Listening close,
Finding the heartbeat
It thought it lost.
Music knows me,
More than people do,
It hears the cracks,
And fills them gently.
I end each song
With a quiet prayer,
That my voice keeps rising,
And never goes still.

About the Creator

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
