I have so many things on my mind,
Things that should be,
Things that can be,
How things will be,
And sadly the things that will never be,
The one and only thing that stays constant is you,
No matter what things come to mind,
You are there,
Some of these things make me smile,
Others make me cry,
I don’t know what kinds of things are ahead for us,
All I know is you are what I want the most,
You are the piece of me I have been missing,
You are the crazy glue that keeps me together,
Because of this I give everything I am to you

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
