I am the lantern

The Poem of Light

By Mansoor AfaqPublished 3 months ago 1 min read
I am the lantern

I am the lantern

born of fire, breathing light.

The sun, the moon, the stars

seem only reflections of my flame.

I am not confined to any address

I am global,

wandering through hearts and horizons,

spreading light where shadows sleep.

My glow pierces the darkness of night,

and even when the morning star ascends,

I keep burning, quietly eternal.

I believe we all carry our own lantern

a spark of faith,

a whisper of warmth,

a will to illuminate.

So rise, ignite your flame,

and be that ray of hope

that teaches the world

how to love the light of menkind
