I am black.
Not because of my skin tone, but because of the way that I feel warm and cold at the same time.
The intricacies of the human body match with the everlasting darkness that is promised in everyone’s lives every day.
I am white.
I am the opposite of illusion and the epitome of illumination.
I am the awakening of my own life and the embellishing cycle of my own lifetime.
I’m delicate and fragile, like pink.
I’m beautiful, deep, sensual, and caring. I’m a vibrant reminder that good times are on the way.
I am feminine yet I am also rage. I bring about a wonderment that even bewilders me.
I am perplexing purple, posturing myself yet prancing through life while carrying the royal colors of my sybaritic birthright.
I am the mysticism of dawn and the promise of sunset, creating a numbing longing to those I meet and their intuitions know that I will arise again.
I am radiant red.
Rambunctious and Millicent. Daunting and heavy. Beautiful and well refined.
I am the banner of my soul and the color of my Phoenix wings, for I am the one that soars through the skies past the spiritual veil and none knew I was ever there.
I am ultramarine.
An ocean? No. A planet. Neptune is my cousin and Uranus, my ally.
I am the water bearer of spiritual waters, where the canteens of astrological wisdom carry the fishes of the universe.
I am beautiful and wonderful, yet if I were to add characteristics to my growing nature, I wish to be green.
The dark. The void. The unlimited expanse of growth and evergreen.
I wish to enlighten the stars and be spotted from lightyears away, where the creatures of both land and sea can witness me in a brilliance that I am unable to see within myself.
I wish to harness the power of yellow.
I wish to carry the confidence and power of the color, where the lightning strikes on my hips and thighs can match the power that the clouds and Gods hold in the skies.
I wish for the spark of joy and knowing that those shades of honey and gold hold, where abundance is laid in my mind as well as my feet.
A rainbow may bless me daily and the spectrum of life tells me that I am accepted here no matter what colors I wield.
Still, to be witnessed by the spectrum of my soul provides more bliss than I can ever dismiss.
