I am so black that I am blue
My soul flows like the currents
Deep and mysterious as the ink-black sea
Look into my eyes and
Discover the silver starlight of a midnight sky
Or perhaps a greater love reflected back to you
My laugh has been known to conjure rainbows
Or awaken your inner child from slumber
My smile, soft like the crescent moon
Can turn your night into day
Or cradle you until you feel safe
My tears fall like crystal prayers upon the Earth
To wash this wounded world clean
My anger drums like thunder rolling over the hills
A clarion call to awaken us from this long night
My pain is a history lesson for each of us
Sometimes it burns red with the fires of Truth
From its ashes, a phoenix rises
My words swirl across the paper like
cobalt and amethyst nebulas in the night
Frightening some with their purity and insight
Yet, reigniting others to their purpose and joy
I am the jet black promise of a new moon
And as ebony as the womb of Mother Earth
I birth new life from old wisdom
Indigo, azure, and sapphire are in my seas
Swim in my depths. I am Magic, Intuition, and Blue like Heaven
I am so black that I am blue
