Sit down, let's have a chat
I know my problems aren’t local
And I don’t want to seem like a brat
But this constant verifying I’m human
Every ten minutes, no matter what
Totally sucks, man
I’m a person, not a bot
It’s causing me to lose precious time
When asking for proof
While editing my latest rhyme
It makes my work go poof
If a save is not made
The site has been insane
Since the DDoS raid
I don’t want to seem inane
But there has to be some other way
Without my words disappearing
Because this way I’m going cray-cray
Frustration isn’t cheering

A/N: I had written a plagiaristic poem earlier today, but due to the long wait time to publish that Vocal has now implemented, I chickened out and deleted it. Who knows how good it was, I may never publish it now.

Cray cray indeed. I’ve not been creating like most of you lot but I’m tiring of this too, my short attention is practically gone by the time I log in lol. Ugh! 😶

Yeah, the changes are annoying. The mobile app doesn't work when I get a notification of a "comment" it takes me not to the story. No word back on the quirk. I use WORD and then paste into Vocal. I save frequently - that way if something gets deleted (the site is wonky many times when reviewing and accidental deletions happen), I can just close out and use the latest saved draft.
Bravo! I thought it was just my computer for some reason. What do you mean long wait time to publish? I haven't published anything this week.
I have to admit, I never use the editor in Vocal until I have the work completed & saved in Microsoft Word. The idea of working on something for a lengthy period only to have it go poof before saving is nightmarish. I remember that happening once while writing a 20-page paper in seminary. (A tornado touched down across the street & knocked the power out.) I never want it to happen again.
Ha! Well done - love this. I cannot get into vocal now unless I use Google Chrome. And it's weird that you have to keep refreshing or it times out.

This amazing arrangement of letters created a wonderful array of words that uniquely expresses the struggle of being human in a world submerged in AI. BTW, I am not a bot
And this verification thing doesn't let Google translate through so I can't translate full stories and comments to my friends in Turkiye. This is a deal breaker for me.
I agree with you so much, and not only that when I try to share it with my Facebook - they do the same thing. - Just a moment - then verify they are human and sometimes that doesn't even work, it comes up page not found. So much for sharing with Facebook which is the only reason I joined vocal, but so much for external reads also. Good poem Mother Combs
I swear, Sharon! This 'verifying human' thing is so damn frustrating! I hate it. I've requested it earlier and requesting it again; If we don't look human after every 10 minutes... C'mon, allow our camera's and verify if we are or not!! You guys are facing this all now, and I've been going through this roughness for almost 4 months! But, now it's extreme 😩😩 Vocal needs to do somethin'!
