I Am More

I always knew I was special

I just never knew why.

I’ve come to realize

It’s because I am more than just one person.

I am an artist.

I am a scientist.

I am a singer.

I am a dancer.

I am an actor.

I am an astronaut.

I am an athlete.

I am an engineer.

I am a criminal.

I am a vampire.

I am a werewolf.

I am a concept.

I am royalty.

I am a warrior.

I am a hero.

I am a villain.

I am chosen.

I am a reader.

I am a storyteller.

I am a creator.

I am a believer.

I am all these things and so much more.

I am all of these things for a reason

That reason is because I am a writer.

I write what I see, hear, feel, and know.

I write what I experience and I write what I imagine

I do this so others will see

I am not just one thing.

I am anything I want to be.

I make my own rules.

I make my own worlds.

Whatever I decide it shall be

Within my own memory.

As I write my stories into existence

I will look back and remember today.

Today, the spark of inspiration spread

And for that I’d like to say thank you.

Now let’s watch the fire spread

And begin a new story

As this one comes to a close.

I will miss this story

But I will cherish it for all eternity.
