I Am Like A Rainbow
Colors of the world connect everything. Colors connect to nature, nature connect to people, people connect to emotions. I wrote this poem from the inspiration of colors to raise awareness of what it is like to live with Bipolar disorder.
My emotions are like a dark cloud on a sunny day, Though I'm as bright as Deneb in the Milky Way, I'm as warm hearted as a red sunburn to the touch, Though my temper is like Lava overflowing as such, I'm as happy and joyful as Mellow Yellow, I'm as peaceful as nature green, I'm as loud as a blue whales bellow, I'm beautiful like the color Indigo though I have low self esteem, My eyes are like purple skies, Though my face can hide the hurricane inside, I'm like the color Violet most, Though I'm unique I do not boast, As emotional as a dark cloud on a sunny day, I'm like a rainbow after a stormy day. The Blue Ridge Stalker
Tom had left the Ford down the way, its spark plugs finally exhausted and no mechanics for a dozen miles back through the foothills to Strossburg. No matter, he had worn his boots—almost as if he planned for this to happen. The puzzle he sought to solve emanated from the woods clinging to the slopes above; the valley behind held no mysteries.
