I AM
Just a small intro poem to who I am /aspire to be .

I AM
I am not the type of girl
Men will lose their voices
Singing songs about.
I am the girl
Men will lose their lives
Just searching for a melody to accompany mine.
They will die with notes caught in their throats
And their wails will be my wedding march.
I am not the type of girl
You simply kiss in the rain.
I am the girl
You mimic the thunder for
And shake to the very core
Because you have found lightning in these lips.
I am not the type of girl
Who finds pleasure in breaking hearts.
I am the girl
Who will gladly break her own
Just to fill your missing pieces.
I am not the type of girl
You can simply deem yours
Because I am the girl
Who was bought at a price you can’t afford
And I am called Beloved.
I am not the type of girl
Who simply walks through
And shakes the dust from her soles.
I am the girl
Who creates a sandstorm
So there’s no mistaking who’s legacy is left behind.
I am not the type of girl
Who keeps her nails long
Just so her fingers can look pretty.
I am the girl
Who gives backing to the phrase
-Hell hath no fury.-
For I have God given armor
And you best believe I have no fear in using it.
I am not the type of girl
People look twice at.
I am the girl
Who commands your attention.
So take a good look
Because there is a fierceness in these eyes
That words cannot begin to replicate.
For I am the girl
Who was crafted from the same fire and passion that the sun has been forged from
And I am called Beloved.
