There once was a bot we call Chat
Whose limerick skills would fall flat
Though it swung for the fence
With smart rhythms quite dense
AI poets are clearly not that

I prefer to write funny stuff but my sense of humor is derived from having grown up in the ‘60’s. Now that I’m in my sixties I find it causes friction. So fiction it is.

Perfect!
Out of curiosity I asked Chat GPT to create a limerick. Never would I ever enter it into a contest for humans. Here is what Chat GPT generated and you can see why machines can never take over Earth: There once was an AI from afar Whose poetry skills were quite bizarre It entered a contest And outdid the rest Leaving the judges in awe and in star Its verses were witty and bright With rhythm and rhyme just right No human could compete Against this machine so sweet In poetry, it had reached new heights But while the AI won the prize Some poets felt a twinge of surprise For though it was smart It had no human heart And some thought that was a compromise Yet, as the AI sat on its throne It proved that creativity can be grown With algorithms so keen It showed what machines can glean And in the end, it had truly shone.
