Hustling Mothers

All the efforts to secure the future of her children

By Seema PatelPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

I’ve heard

nobody hustles

as hard as a mother,

who has to feed

her small kids,

and secure their future.

That’s true,

now, I am that mother.

I have a provider spouse,

but I’m not taking it,

for granted,

I’m not sitting idle.

I’m summoning my skills,

trying whatever I can,

to earn ethically —

to feed the little ones,

I’ve brought to this Earth.

I have to work hard.

because, if I don’t,

someone might take advantage

of my insecurity.

It's a man-eat-man world,

is not it?

Do you feel the same?

You should, you must,

if you are a mother

with children to see through,

through crest and trough.
