Remember that night when we first met, I know that I sure do
You bought a drink, we played some pool, some would say that I thrashed you
It took some time till I would trust, and let you in my life
You won my heart and I’m proud to say, that now I am your wife
The things you do that piss me off, well the list is pretty long
But thankfully our relationship, is pretty blooming strong
We irritate each other , you get right on my wick
And many times I tend to think you’re acting like a dick
But I too am not quite faultless, I can be a proper pain
Quite difficult to live with, In fact not at all tame
But that’s what builds a marriage, it’s the way we understand
No matter what our downsides are, we still take each others hand
For every little difference that we like to harp on about
It doesn’t pack the super punch ,of the way we stick it out
The way one look from you or I, conveys a thousand words
We can solve a sudden problem, with nothing being heard
Just one glance, that’s all it takes for either of us two
For you I know, and you know me, we know just what to do
We have such gorgeous children, we really have been blessed
And as they always tell us, we are both of us the best
So basically just sod off, whilst you irritate
But when I need a super hug, please don’t hesitate
When you’re down I’ll lift you up and put the sparkle back
When you’re sad and feeling blue, you know I’ve got your back
You cook good food, you tidy up, you put the kids to bed
And when I’ve had a shitty day, you fix my broken head
We compliment each other, quite perfectly you see
Cause you’re pretty good in many ways , but not as good as me 😉
