Hurt

"I'd rather kill myself,

Than be with you."

Those words,

Are rather hurtful.

Especially when it's someone that you love,

Or have known all your life.

To hear these terrifying words...

Come out of their mouth.

Though we are from different worlds,

You just never understood my views.

I show too much empathy,

While you act like you don't care.

You shun me.

You've always hated how empathetic I am,

You want to change that.

You want me to be a monster...

But deep down, know that I can't.

I don't have the heart to be cruel,

I can't sit there and watch everyone suffer...

Even if they've wronged me in the past.

It's like you're trying to stop me from succeeding,

You always tell me, "nah, you're fucking worthless"

Or "that job sucks."

Or even the classic "people are bastards!"

Not all people are evil, there are some that are good.

I give people the benefit of the doubt,

I give multiple chances to change the negativity in them.

I try to be the angel in someone's life.

I just end up in the wrong crowd,

Where I am used for evil.

Where I feel...

Powerless.
