Hunted Mirror 2

Twice as much fun as the 1st poem

By Marie381Uk Published about a year ago 1 min read
Take it back to the car boot quick

In a dim-lit room where shadows creep,

A mirror hangs, secrets it keeps,

Its glass reflects a world unknown,

A portal to realms where spirits rove.

With each soft sigh of the midnight air,

I sense a presence, a lingering stare,

The glass, it glimmers, cold and bright,

I fear the eyes that watch me tonight.

Whispers echo from the depths within,

Soft, haunting voices, a spectral din,

They beckon me closer, a chilling call,

To step through the frame, to surrender it all.

What lies beyond in that ghostly realm?

Phantoms and shades at the helm?

A dance of shadows, a flicker of light,

In this haunted mirror, what waits in the night?

Yet here I stand, caught in a trance,

On the threshold of fear, a perilous chance,

Shall I linger longer, or turn and flee,

From the eyes in the glass that are watching me?

A car boot sale, where treasures abound,

Perhaps here I’ll find what was lost and found,

Yet this mirror, it whispers, a siren’s plea,

To uncover the mysteries, to set spirits free.

So I ponder the glass, both a friend and a foe,

In its depths lies a world I long to know,

But with every glance, I must tread with care,

For in the haunted mirror, there’s more than just air
