Hugging the Stars
She reaches out, but he’s not there,
Just whispers hanging in the air.
Yet when she gazes at the night,
She feels his arms in starlit light.
The sky is stitched with stars so bright,
A cosmic echo, soft as the night.
Though time has pulled his touch away,
The stars still hold the words he’d say.
So in the dark, she holds him tight,
A love that glows in an endless flight.
For though he’s gone, he’s never faraway
She hugs him in the stars now not in the day
