Hue Knew?

by Naomi Romo

By Elizabeth Naomi RomoPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Blue can be too blue,

Green is obviously unkeen,

Red rages in dread,

Pink is beginning to stink,

Yellow not even in marshmallows,

White lies low from sight.

Give me a new color,

One we have yet to discover.

Give me a new color,

Debut it on a magazine cover.

Give me a new color,

One with an infinite spectrum.

Give me a new color,

Not just a breadcrumb.

Give me a new color,

One that will not succumb.

Give me a new color,

Make it as bold as they come.

Give me a new color,

Better yet…

I’ll give you one.
