Hu(e)mor Me
A poem about personal transformation, magical perspectives, and alchemy by way of unwavering optimism.

I’m tickled pink
In times of darkness
Laughing out loud
Even when I’m blue
When life confuses
And dims my viewpoint
My humor infuses
my sight with bright hues
Ever the phoenix
Reborn once I dye
My glasses rose-colored
from ash then I rise
Rebirthed is my soul
Emerging just like
Earth’s fertile black soil
Springs lush verdant life
I laugh with my body
I dance in the rain
My aura stays golden
When all else is grey
I bathe in bright rainbows
To soak in their promise
To splash in the vibrance
That gifts me my solace
The source of my strength
When joy is a figment
Is the essence that shades
Our lives with with rich pigment
