How Would You Describe It?

A collection of unspoken feelings

How would you describe it?

Like sitting in the middle of a raging tornado,

Quiet

Gray winds blow up dust and debris

Pulling them up and around

To form a perfect cone of chaos

The world spins on a broken axis

To crack and bend and dip you in all directions

But you remain unfazed

How would you describe it?

Like being laid under layers of water

Slowly falling towards the bottom

The air in your lungs has run out

Your hand reaches out

But you can’t move a finger

Ocean flows around you, caressing your body

Sunlight from the world above fades away

You keep sinking

How would you describe it?

Like a flame was light beneath your ribcage

Flames dance around your stomach

The air from your lungs fuel the flame

Smoke travels to your head and clouds your mind

It flows out of your mouth at rapid speeds

Your hands desperately try to put out the fire

But they get scorched in fear

Your soul remains burning

How would you describe it?

Nothing

And

Everything,

All at once.
