How to waste 12 minutes
Just 11 now
The end of class always takes the longest
10 minutes
bouncing between staring at my notebook,
and paying some attention to whatever the teacher is saying
8 minutes now
I get way too excited
when more than a single minute passes
between my checking the clock
7 minutes
Time almost stands still
6 minutes left
6, six, seis, 六
English, French, Spanish, Japanese
thats all the languages I know…
makes for a pretty short list
4 minutes
Maybe we’ll end early?
3 minutes
probably not
2 minutes left
everyone is packing up
Thank God
1 minute
and
Done.
