How long but can a summer day last?
When the lovely shades of evening pace behind
Just as you walked away and left me in the past
I fret and jump and drooping in dark, blind
```
The stars hide when they see my love
Like a red glowing flower in a desert
Or striding daintily with peace like a dove
That makes beautiful the gloomy concert.
```
The love that lasts a day or more
Is love like a winter's evening
I will always love you more and more
With the passing of fleeting timing
```
My love will be a long summer day
That will end not with the love dismay.
