How I Want To Live

Simply and beautifully

with the sound of nature outside my door

unapologetically naked in my surrender to the unknown

leaving the material world behind like my ego

magically and divinely connected to the earth under my feet

feeling the vibration from each blade of grass

the earth my teacher

with the ancestors as my guides and leaders.

Yes this is how I want to live

simply and beautifully

not confined to concrete jungles

unlocking the chains of this oppressive system

healing myself of shame, guilt and fear

adoring my body and its’ stretch marks

reminding me of the waves of the ocean when the moon is full

I mean aren’t we made of water anyway?

This is how I shall go with the flow

in these times we need a little bit more of softness

and compassion with self

there is an unlearning going on and I am here for it

to witness myself and others come into who they truly are

yes this is really how I want to live

simply and beautifully

unapologetically loving me.
