Don't beat yourself up, kid.

It's that wanderer's gift: to

Straddle the space between

Then and

Right now;

As if

Closing the distance

Too quickly, might

Implode the

Organization of all those plucky

Neurons.

    This brief, powerful poem so completely captures the bittersweet ache of nostalgia and the balancing act of the mind. "Straddle the space between / Then and / Right now" so completely conveys that suspended feeling of being poised between then and now. The warning against bridging the gap "too quickly" is about the guarding, almost brittle nature of our memories and how we move through them.🌞
