A mother's love, so strong and true,
Endures the years and trials anew.
But what to do when a son forgets,
All the love and care that she beset?
Once a child so full of grace,
He now seems lost in a different place.
Where has he gone, this one she knew,
Who loved her so and all she'd do?
She gave him all, with every breath,
To ensure his life would be the best.
But now she's left alone to mourn,
The love she gave, but he's withdrawn.
She waits with hope for him to see,
All the love and care she gave so free.
And when he returns to her once more,
She'll hug him tight, and forgive him for sure.
For a mother's love knows no end,
And even when broken, it can still mend.
Her love will wait, through all the pain,
Till her son comes home, to love again.
