Hope deceived me

with its whispers of light.

I had placed myself in her

mistaking her as a weapon with which to fight.

-

But after all, she's just an illusion,

because she cannot win or lose.

Only convince you of a future

and a supposed path you can choose.

-

And when the world turned black

and the war ended in tears,

she still ad the dirty guts

to try to suppress my fears.

-

She lifted me from the ground

and lent me wings so I can fly.

And when the spear hit the soul

I fell again, but from the sky.
