Hope

When life comes and knocks you down

And you feel like you can't go on

There's something deep inside of you

That gives you the will to carry on

It's hope, the light that shines ahead,

The voice that whispers in your ear,

"Tough times may come, but don't you fret,

There will be better days this year."

Hope is the warmth of the morning sun,

And the beauty of the setting sky

It's the feeling of joy and love,

That tells you everything will be alright.

It's the sound of the waves crashing on the shore,

And the rustling of leaves in the trees.

It's the faith that you'll find what you're looking for

And the belief that you can be whoever you want to be.

Hope is the fire that burns inside,

When all around you is darkness and despair.

It's the strength to pick yourself up again,

And continue on, no matter how unfair.

So when life comes and challenges you

And you can barely hold on,

Take a deep breath, and remember this:

In spite of everything, hope never is gone.
