Honey on Your Lips
Lavender in the Fields

Dancing in the fields of fragrant lavender
Close to the garden by the sea
Come to me, my beloved
As you spin, spin, and spin
Dancing in the joy of me
The joy of us.
Making my heart swell and beat so hard with even more love
Your country dress is a bell swirling around your legs
As you twirl and dance
You put honey on your lips
Making them shiny, sweet and kissable
Oh, so kissable.
Knowing I could not resist, would not resist
Wanting you to take me in and possess me with your love
I pulled you down and you fell into my arms so softly
Pulling you so close
It is so right
So right and so wrong.
I should be scared and frightened for you, and for us
But all I can feel is you
Falling into my arms
And I kissed your sweet honey covered lips
Tasting your sweetness, nourishing me and making me stronger
Knowing we are tempting fate
Sneering in the face of society's mores
We should not be here, we should not love
But we won't stop.
This love just can’t be stopped.
You lay beside me and you read me your poems;
And I’ll gently sing you my songs in your ears
And we get lost in the rapture of each other
As we grasp each other in sacred and holy union
Soul, Spirit and Bones and Flesh
Aching to become one
We are becoming One Together
As we have done for centuries
My one true love.
Loving as One
Becoming sacred through mortal sin
There is just so much love
Wrapping and covering us like the softest warm blanket
In comfort and holiness.
We belong together.
