We click

You and I

The chemistry between us

Was raw and vibrant

The moment we met.

***

I remember the first date

A movie

I wanted to hold your hand so bad

It was crazy.

***

I couldn't contain myself,

I had to text you

My desires to have your lips against mine

***

So you got on the train

Came down to my work

Met me on my 15 min break

And gave me a quick little peck.

***

I was a little let down to be honest

My body wanted more.

***

Then

You couldn't get us off each other

For the longest time.

***

We are still close now

Passionate and deep

But you get on my nerves sometimes too

***

I know I do the same

So we are learning to compromise

With each other's needs.

***

Like now I eat the honey nut peanut butter

Because that's your preference

And that's ok

Because you're drinking

2% milk instead of whole for me.

***

I mean

You quit smoking for me

***

Yeah, I love you

And I believe in us

I believe in you.
