A Ripple in Thyme

Ever wonder why thyme heals all wounds?

It shows you heal your bacteria and fungi,

But I always thought he was just a fun guy.

Let's give time to find a rhyme.

The punny things in life can seem so small,

Until you hit a wall cause you forgot to savor the life.

What is a key with feathers yet opens no doors?

A turkey, you see, to remember the thanks you should be giving to the Universe.

Forget about rhyming and find the puns because it's punny and you gotta have humor in life.

A hubris, a wound, a ripple in time,

Maybe we realized Achilles just needed to heel.

Is it a pun or a rhyme that's the answer to life?

Maybe instead of wandering we were meant to still be wondering.

Wonder of life, wonder of death, wonder why we are really here, till this life or the next.

The thing about humans is there's so many doors, that when one closes we can't seem to soar.

English is hard with all of its words, are you content with your content or looking for more?

More time to laugh, more time to live, more time before it's your time to clock in.

We live to work and work to live, when will you realize you gotta clock in to life?

When will you realize why we told you to always do your best?

Some days you'll cry, and some days you'll lie,

In your bed, in your head, to fence away your existential dread

But bury your dead, in the Earth, in your heart

Yea, that sounds like a great place to start!

Did you welcome the night like a friend you've long lost?

Did you instead hide away and wait for the next day to begin?

It matters not, early bird or night owl, birds of a feather flock together.

It's life we must truly learn to weather.

Whether big or small, short or tall,

I promise there's a place here for all.

It might not be here, it might not be there,

That's why you must remember to always bring a spare.

Till this life or the next, find thyme to rhyme,

In a sentence, in a poem, in your life just once

Then you'll see why a poem was always freestyle.

Be free, in style, my friend. Always leave your mark.
