Home is a warm hug
when I’ve had a hard day.
Home is baking pecan pie
with my sweet but sassy gramma.
Home is everything and
nothing. It is a feeling
interchanged with few
people, places or things.
Home is a place
that resides in my heart
when I learned to love myself.
Home is a person
I've come to be
my truest self with.
Home is a thing
that connects me
to my loved one
gone too soon.
Home is all I need
living on a foreign rock
in a vast and endless
Universe.
Wherever love can live,
that’s home to me.
About the Creator
Karilyn Owens
Karilyn is an enigmatic writer and poet who uses prose to process an entirely foreign world of emotions that ceaselessly haunt her. Words free her from the prison of living with complicated feelings of love, loss, fear and confusion.
