Home should be your safe place

Peace ,Love and Fun

By Joann MillerPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Home is the place you go to forget the outside crazy

Once you step over that threshold leave the excess baggage behind and get kind of lazy

Outside we claw , we struggle we scrap , just to get through the day we spent wading in crap

At the end of the day we head on home for some peace and some love and our family alone

We kick off our shoes , put on those sweat pants , Mom takes off her bra and Dad does a dance

The kids run and play there is plenty of noise but the sound is so different from that world of the employed

The smells from the kitchen get the taste buds engaged for the evening tasty meal that Mom has made

The dog is under the table waiting for some unwanted peas as the kids drop them down pretending to eat them with ease

The dishes are done the TV is set to a movie the whole family can finally accept

Life on the inside is so safe and secure my family of love may we always endure

When we tuck the kids in for their night of sleep I see little Hope never covers her feet she wiggles and squirms to get that right spot with her teddy so close to find that comfy place on her cot

Mom's in the bathtub Dad knows what that means a night of adult fun and sex so it seems

What more can you ask than a home full of love how can there be more we are so blessed from above

As our day comes to and end , and the next morning draws us near we must be ready to take it on with no fear

Just knowing that we have our happy home to depend on for our retreat will keep us all going with magical feet .
