Home is an emotion

Home is where the heart lives

By JadePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I look back at my childhood memories,

Was I living or surviving?

Was my house, my home?

Or is the home something intangible?

So far away I can barely grasp onto the feelings.

Is home an emotion? A desire? A destination?

So where am I now?

If home is where your heart lives, then my heart is no longer living.

I don’t know where I am,

I don’t know where I belong.

My soul longs for belonging,

My heart aches to be living,

I want to go home,

Where is my home?

Home is in the heart.

Home is comfort, safety, security and love.

I’ve been lost,

My heart has been surviving.

I will make it back home,

I will live again soon.
