Home Improvement

Now vs then

Home

Home is my safe place my happy place my corner on the world where I feel whole

I remember when I didn’t have a home

I will not let anyone destroy my peace

Stay away beasts I’m done with the streets

Come inside lock the door me and my baby and these wood floors

My home now vs as a kid

Is a whole different way I live

Old cigarettes and sardines

Crack and weed is smells I used to see

I basically lived like a animal

It was a jungle and I survived

I ran away at age of 9

Came back to fight

Everyday stressful life no sunshine no light

Just my room with posters of my favorite rappers kept me alive

Blasting my music to block out the sounds

I left home at 18

Built my life piece by piece

All the way to age 33

Had a baby and got my own home for her

It’s squeaky clean and smells like Free

I love our home and I will never let my daughter feel like I did

Our home is where the heart is

But my daughter is what makes it beat

Fresh lemon Lysol and a candle lit

Ac on watching Netflix

Just cooked my favorite meal

As I look around it is surreal

I MADE IT and I made a home

Came from nothing and all alone

Now I start a empire one day my home will be a mansion by the beach but for now this is my paradise my PEACE

sign the lease get the keys make your world fabulous because outside is becoming obsolete
