Take a look at your home

What do you see?

Couches, beds, walls with a TV?

Home can be a building that host your way of living,

or a person with love to keep you tight

I got that part right, but when I look into my home

The place to end my day, I see nothing

Only a bed, kitchen, and sitting TV

It's completely empty, just me and my lady

Good for the imagination to run freely

Get the creative juices flowing

However, bad for a body that want to rest and take it easy on something sturdy

It's not home, it's a reminder

There still more work to do

No tables, so I'm writing on the floor

Planks from a bookshelf

Is treated as a coaster

Watching TV, but I'm sitting on the edge of the bed to see closer

Home is a representation of thy

That's why you'll find nothing in mine

Like us, it's a fresh start

We're building it by scratch, up from the floor

Cause it's a big come up from living with others

Use to only have a room staying with a sister or brother

We previously resided in the ghetto

It was 2019 and someone stole my PS3

So I upgraded to a PS4, then we got a place of our own

She stay at work to pay the bill on time

I be jumping job to job cause they don't have the heart, but time them correctly and wise.

Our home isn't really a place, it's our grind

Knowing we're not just making money

but we're make something out of it

It's what remind me we can do better,

cause like us it's always evolving

So we keep our heads up, positive vibes only on the door.

I got her, and she's my lady

This apartment have a long way before it takes the title, but

Together we're going to make something crazy

Total transformation from what you'll currently see

This might not be home, but it's going to be

Just wait and see
