Empty belly, hollow soul
Aches with each passing goal
Food, a distant memory stays
As hunger's pangs never fade away
In a world of plenty, I'm left bare
A gnawing feeling, hard to share
The pain of emptiness, a constant guest
A reminder of life's unmet quest
Tears fall like rain, as I lay at night
My stomach growls, a haunting light
A longing for nourishment, a plea unheard
A heart that's heavy, a spirit blurred
In this darkness, I search for a bite
A morsel of hope, a glimmer of light
But like a mirage, it vanishes fast
Leaving me with nothing, but this vast
Hollow feeling, that echoes my name
A reminder of hunger's endless claim.
