Holiday Romance
Holiday over, you vanish, gone,
I stand where yesterday shone.
No address, no number, no call,
just a memory, that’s all.
We met where the sea kissed the shore,
two strangers, wanting no more.
No promises tangled our hearts,
just moments before we depart.
Your laughter still hums in my ear,
though your footsteps no longer near.
A summer we borrowed in time,
no future, no past to define.
I carry you home in my mind,
a face that the world cannot find.
No letters to tell where you’ve been,
just echoes of what we had seen.
A holiday romance, wild and true,
shared in the sun between me and you.
Gone with the tide, lost in the blue,
but still I remember you.
