This season we’re gonna miss the loved ones who are far away.

The dearly departed who couldn’t join us for the holiday.

We haven’t forgot you. We really miss you.

Oh how we wish you all were still here so we could hug you and kiss you.

We just want y’all to know we keep you close to us.

We’ll enjoy the holidays the best we can as you watch over us.

On Christmas morning we’ll open those presents swift.

All the while we’ll still be thankful you were the best gift.

Ever since you left the water works haven’t stopped since they started.

Forever will we keep in our hearts the holiday’s departed.

This is beautiful, and it's the truth. I lost my dad last year. :-(
