When the sky turns gray, please do not bring me rain.
When the day gets cold, do not bring me a coat.
When there is silence, do not vanish in violence.
Just stay there and tell me, “WE GOT THIS.”
I will smile and hug you for a while,
Then forget—and regret.
When in the darkness I walk again,
Trying to forget will be in vain.
Just hold me tight, you know I will fight.
Promise me you will never let me go,
You know I will try to do so…
That is me—but please do not be…
Do not be like me.
And I know, I am gonna try to let go,
Push you away as far as I may.
But please… please… please…
Please do not make it ease.
But in the end, when I push you away,
Hold me close, do not dismay.
For all my fears, and all my pain,
Stay with me through every rain.
And when I alter, when I fight,
Promise you’ll stay and make it right.
