"Darkness leads the way" (December 2021) Mold a paper sphere in our mouths and spit, immaturity storm passing it’ll dry out in a bit, our targets her tit, bullseyes the clit.. emotions rainbow from direct cold-hearted hit, doing dumb things smart and inner energy gets lit, flip open a “Cosmo” and maybe see a girls tit, harassingly joke about all the reasons to take totes, or even ride out with the crew singing cards in our spokes and elope, but nope, change is near and I’m their hope, what’s comin’ next is fuckin’ dope, covid 19 with soap, old oak chairs and braided rope, confessions and lord pope, stop drop and roll, fire extinguisher a pole, lyrically I’m on a fucking role, “oops” helped ya out there.. I dug a hole, first let’s take care of that stupid mole, sorry not sorry, wasting time productively it wears and takes a toll, under the bridge-a troll, Russian roulette-a roll. Bartender
On the heels of grief, pain bears down hard. On the heels of death, pain awakens the quiet place between the end of our own life and now. Feeling anything is like seeing a film and in black and white, slow motion, all sound turned off. Just watching. Gritting teeth, awkward smiles and bloody red eyes move around, scanning the others who are feeling something I don't want to feel, but I do. Escapism is all I have ever known. ~
