Hindsight
Your Creed
My ribcage became a prison
When I learned your heart has teeth
Transfixed and in position
To be transposed into peace
Your love, is a religion
And your grace, just out of reach
I'd stand in the division
To understand the words you preach
My secrets line the walls
Yet you open all the windows
My insecurity crawls
As you sell your innuendos
Nothing is sacred in your hands
A free for all, who might perceive
I'm faithfully at your command
As you part what others see
Your persistent resurrection
Maintains the pain that you inflict
Spreading your sick infection
Sealing my fate the day we kissed

"my secrets line the walls" is so good
I see you expanded your earlier poem here. This is a great poem making us question our life choices. Best of luck to you Kelli.
So good, Kelli <3
I have preached, & many have said that I am oft difficult to understand, but I'm pretty sure we've never kissed, lol. I think I'd remember that, lol again!
Magical poem
"My ribcage became a prison When I learned your heart had teeth" What a wonderful description of heartache. I really liked this poem and the rhyming is magic (what else from you 😊😊😊).
Kelli… I must say the first two lines grabbed me by the throat. I had to continue. This is powerful stuff. Fantastic work.
