Hide & Seek III: The Lost & Never Found

"I'm Fine." Words I've heard and words I've spoken, that weren't true...

Some are lost, and never found

Their cries for help are never heard

The signs are there, but some just aren't looking‐

I just can't believe this,

She hasn't been found-

A black sheep stuck in a game of hide and seek,

One of far too many

Holding hands with the shadows of loneliness

All the while the surrounding public isn't even looking

When she just wants to be found‐

Lost, in involuntary solitude

As if contentment is merely contemporary,

Convinced that comfort is only imaginary

Lost, in Void's Company

What she wishes she never found‐

It can't be made to make sense,

The absence of any sense of belonging,

To have only known longing‐

What has anyone sown to reap this?

I simply can't, believe this‐

He only wishes to be found

But cant bring himself to make any sound,

And he's not the only one‐

He's found the lyrics that tell the tale of his torment

His story speaks what his silence shouts

Only hoping he's finally found

It's only Void's Company that continues to come and go around

By himself on a silent hill

If he falls will it make a sound?

Would someone ever come around?

Would he finally be found?

Or will he fall into a fatal disbelief?

Will she ever find the state of her relief?

Will their cries ever be heard?

Or will they fall in with the rest of the herd?

The lost, and never found

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
