Duty

A twist of rage,

betrayed by a glance.

Swiftly hidden

beneath romance.

Terror tries to emerge,

quickly hidden from you.

Never show your fear,

no matter what they do.

Underneath the smiles,

the ones used to conceal.

Chances of escape,

never are revealed.

Silence turns to terror,

hatred shows it’s face.

Changing every shadow

winning every race.

And tears I cry are silent,

no one really cares.

So why should I ignore

all the telling glares.

Because love

in the eyes of someone else,

isn’t always beauty.

It’s a dream to hold,

or maybe it’s a duty.
