The smell of your hair
Wishing you were there
While I cried
Wondering if you’re still alive
As the drugs seep in
And depression bleeds out
I loved you
I never had any doubts
Nodding in and out
Eyes are shut
Don’t say I abandoned you
That I gave up
You pushed me away
You had nothing to say
I had no choice
I remember your voice
You told me to go
You said there’s no point
So I opened the door
As I stuck one foot out
I look at you
Wishing you’d shout
Please don’t go
I don’t want to be alone
But you buy your next bag
And call it home
