A Dream of the Myth

The ground was grass,

then it turned to water.

I sunk in fast,

started flailing, swimming,

gliding through air.

I turned my head and looked,

and there he was.

Herobrine, a myth, a

legend, here not

to attack or hurt or

fight but to help

me through this never-en-

-ding night. I swam,

flailed, perhaps, because

I was afraid

of drowning in my dream.

He looked, lent a

hand, helped me out of the

endless blue depths.

I watched him, curious,

as the ground rose

before us to create

a green island.

There we sat, staring at

the sun, wondering what

this could mean.

I broke the rules,

looked up at him,

asked him something curious.

"Can we be friends now?"

He looked at me,

never answered,

disappeared.

And I awoke.

Good work here in the early days. Now I have a proposal for you; would you give me permission to write a promotional piece on you, featuring a selection of my favorite work you've done here on Vocal and saying why I think you're cool and more people should read you? I'm not as hugely popular as many on here, but I have a healthy cult following (and a way with words). It might bring you more readership. At least among my subscribers, but I'll shout it out on Discord and Facebook. Who knows, if it got Top Story it could really be beneficial to you. What do you say? Would you be ready for/want that? I think you're a fantastic writer and really deserve it. This age-ism has to end! I wish someone more famous than me were asking :)
