Here or There

Or Everywhere?

A soft breath flees me, steps ever so motional but yet with no direction at all. The passing of golden hour as it shifts into twilight has now commenced as I bask beneath the fading light. A butterfly subtly bounces to and fro as if she too knows not where exactly she'll go.

We are unannounced companions now, strolling through the lush forest with not one single care, or perhaps for the butterfly the tip and tuck between the invisible lines that lead it toward it's next sip of nectar is perhaps more guided than I. I wander, the lust of possibility in finding something new having taken captive of my imagination and sent me over yonder, but with no definitive end. I am here, going around, as if to come out at full circle again.

The hike it is going, and I still unknowing but in the journey through the cool canopy, I find my destination is irrelevant for the intake of fresh mountain air, and the scenery all around bring me something that nowhere else is found -

Respite, and knowing

Rejuvenation and growing.

All beneath the crossing of here, or there -

just to wind up

somewhere.
